This blog is where I share with you all my quilting and sewing progress. I love English Paper Piecing and hand quilting but also enjoy making small items like pincushions and throw cushions. Please leave your comments and let me know you've dropped by.

Also, please feel free to have a look at my new cycling blog. This is a new hobby for me so there will probably be some fun and falling on the way!! Click on the pic at left hand side.

My Slow Progress........

......but it's still progress!

I've been busy this week and not had time to do very much quilting. In the middle of it all I had to fix the sewing machine which appeared to have the hiccups!!!
But here's my progress so far..............

All 16 'plates' are made and on their white squares. I just have to add all the sashing and posts.
But I'm quite pleased with it. I love the crisp freshness of the colours.
If the left side sashing and post looks a bit 'wonky' it's only because I have the whole think held up there by 2 bits of Uhu White Tack!! It's not really wonky!
Now it's time to make dinner and then have another go at the quilt!
Take care!

  2. Hi, thank you for your kind comment!
I'm making a double bed quilt......hopefully! I've not been quilting all that long so it takes me a while to get there! Plus, I'm not at all good at maths and that can be a drawback in quilting!! lol
If you click on "In Progress" label at left hand side, you should see the 16 squares that will form the main central panel. I'm just doing the sashing now. I'll be updating progress as I go so feel free to follow.
    Many thanks

  3. Hi Kate - just found your delightful blog & am interested in English Paper Piecing. The brief experience I have had was enjoyable & I loved the accuracy. Do you sell the templates for the quilt top you show on the bed - is it called "Broken Star"?

Love your puffins too - great photos of adorable birds!
    Thank you for sharing.
