This blog is where I share with you all my quilting and sewing progress. I love English Paper Piecing and hand quilting but also enjoy making small items like pincushions and throw cushions. Please leave your comments and let me know you've dropped by.

Also, please feel free to have a look at my new cycling blog. This is a new hobby for me so there will probably be some fun and falling on the way!! Click on the pic at left hand side.

Are we nearly there yet????

Remember those words falling from the lips of little children?? Well, I'm saying that to myself now!!! Trying hard to get my Project Linus quilt finished, I have decided to post some pics on here today. If nothing else it will help me convince myself that the quilt is really progressing!!
I've machine quilted the first border with simple straight lines ( the coward that I am!!!) and I have started a diamond outer border which I am quilting by hand.
Here are a few piccies!

This one shows a general view of quilt and the start of the diamond border.

Bottom right corner.
I thought the diamond kite shape would lead the eye up into the diamonds in the border.
That was the theory!!

A close up of my amateur hand quilting!! I actually really love hand quilting. It's so therapeutic!!

And finally below, one of the sections in the centre which I really like.

A little kid on a swing!

Well, that's it for today. Just off now to have a cup of tea before the next round of stitching!
